Subject: AI 53: Editors team to produce a RDDL document to be placed at the namespace URIs
I agreed to supply some examples of namespace documents on today's call. Perhaps the best example of a RDDL namespace document is at the namespace URI for the contributed WS-ReliableMessaging specification: http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/rm/ Some other interesting namespace documents examples include: a) http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema Note: A namespace document for a much older namespace. b) http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions Note: This document goes further than many by providing URI's for the artifacts defined in the namespace to give a human readable explanation of each and a URI to identify each: "Each function and operator is uniquely identified with a URI of the form: "http://www.w3.org/2005/xpath-functions/#name" where name is the name of a function or operator." BTW, the draft W3C TAG finding on the TAG issue NamespaceDocument-8 describes formats for namespace documents: http://www.w3.org/2001/tag/doc/nsDocuments/ /paulc Paul Cotton, Microsoft Canada 17 Eleanor Drive, Nepean, Ontario K2E 6A3 Tel: (613) 225-5445 Fax: (425) 936-7329 mailto:Paul.Cotton@microsoft.com
