Subject: RE: [ws-rx] Action Item 53: new RDDL docs
The namespace document for WS-RM V1.1
states: “It is the intent
of the OASIS WS-RX Technical Committee that the WS-Reliable Messaging v1.1
namespace URI will not change arbitrarily with each subsequent revision of the
corresponding WSDL or XML Schema documents but rather change only when a
subsequent revision, published in conjunction with a Committee Specification
results in non-backwardly compatible changes from a previously published
Committee Specification.’ As I stated on last week’s call I think “Committee
Specification” should be “Committee Draft/Specification” in
this text. If we do interop testing on the 200510 namespace and then make one
or more breaking changes in a subsequent CD/CS I think we will want to change
the namespace URI for the subsequent CD/CS. /paulc Paul Cotton, Microsoft From: Gilbert Pilz

attached are the latest drafts of the RDDL docs for the http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-rx/wsrm/200510 and
http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-rx/wsrmp/200510 namespaces.
These documents are
basically a merge of the work Steve Winkler and I did (RDDL 2.0) and some ideas
Chris Ferris had (using a micro-format to include artifact metadata). While
they are not perfect, I believe they are fleshed out enough to be considered
for inclusion into the TC's deliverables. I think AI 53 can
now be closed. - g |
