2. Reading/Approving minutes of last meeting (July 19)

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00064.html

Adopted unanimously.

3. TC Logistics (10 minutes or less)

4. Interop status

There have been updates made to the interop doc that addressed most concerns found in interop work to date (see AI-2006-04-04-08 below)

There has been no negative feedback to the suggestion to use the W3C Rec version of WS-Addressing rather than the submitted version as the interop doc cals for.

To date there is still only one company hosting endpoints for the scenarios, others have comitted to having endpoints up soon.

5. Issues list

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-sx/issues/Issues.xml

a) Review of action items

AI-2006-04-04-08 - Marc Goodner with help from Prateek Mishra to document interop message flows based on the current version of SC/Trust.

Prateek’s edits

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00073.html

These edits capture most of the comments arising from the interop work to date

Fredericks suggested edits

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00068.html

These suggestions have not eben discussed on the list, we need to consider them for the next revision to the doc.

b) Issues in Review status

  None.

c) New issues

i093 - Need a holder for token assertions within the SupportingTokens assertions

Response from Gudge

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00079.html

Now seen as not a technical issue, left open for now to consider potential editorial clarification

i094 - We need a definition for "domain" in WS-SecurityPolicy

RFC 2828 may contain a definition of domain that is relevant.

i095 - Amend text for nested assertions in WS-SP

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00076.html

Assigned to editors, moved to pending.

i096 - Ensure Appendix A is complete

http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00077.html

Should be left open as a work item for editors to keep Appendix A up to date.

Discussion on deffering, moving to pending to keep in work queue or just leaving open.

Noted that issue 8 is a similar standing work item and has been left open.

AI-2006-07-26-01 - Marc to figure out how to handle standing issues for ongoing editor action or that are dependent on other issues

d) Active issues

i004 - Transitive closure spec dependencies

In progress

i008 - Need well formed XML examples

Not discussed

i066 - SecurityPolicy use cases

In progress

Frederick notes that there are additional use cases in the interop document.

See comments here: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00068.html

Conversation on goals of the scope of the scenarios being included in the use cases document.

Aim is not to have a TC sanctioned list of scenarios, only to collect typical or useful examples.

Prateek is hoping to progress this as a TC document.

Chris is concerned that the use of the word typical will give the impression that scenarios not covered in the document would be atypical.

Paul suggests use of the word sample.

Prateek believes the TC should be able to define all typical cases.

Paul noted he has been deffering further review awaiting the updated doc.

i077 - Use of Section 8 from WS-SC forces applications to be WSS schema aware

Response from Jan http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00034.html

Pratek will respond in next few days.

i078 - Specify Reference Types for References to SCT

In progress.

i081 - Provide policy statements and associated URIs that can be referenced from wsp:PolicyReference statements

Not discussed

i090 - Description of Strict Formatting seems wrong for EncryptedKey

Response from Gudge: http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00078.html

Discussion continuing.

i091 - security policy help for example C.3.2

Proposal from Gudge http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ws-sx/200607/msg00065.html

No objection to accepting proposal, status changed to pending.
