Subject: Re: [ws-sx] Fwd: Email sent re: Groups - oasis - Ballot "ApproveWS-Security Policy Examples as a Committee Specification" has closed
Hi Mary, I don't believe I ever received the email requesting the vote. Also, I do not see it in the WS-SX email archives. Is it possible that there was a glitch in the mail system or am I missing something? Is it possible to redo this vote - I think there may have been others who did not receive the announcement either, although some must have based on the votes. Thanks, Rich Mary McRae wrote: B6CCC10F-A0E8-43BD-8960-57365E1154D8@oasis-open.org" type="cite">The ballot to Approve WS-Security Policy Examples as a Committee Specification did not receive sufficient votes to pass; a Special Majority is required (7 out of 10) but only 5 'yes' votes were cast. If people who are voting members did not wish to cast a vote because of the potential appearance of vote stacking, you can request 'persistent non-voting status.' That means that you no longer count towards quorum or have voting rights, but retain all other member privileges. If some of you just didn't have sufficient time to vote, you can request to have a new ballot started. While the minimum is 7 days, you can request that the ballot remain open for a longer period of time as well. |
