Issue name -- WS-C, WS-AT, WS-BA: Inconsistencies in OASIS
templates PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL OR START A DISCUSSISON
THREAD UNTIL THE ISSUE IS ASSIGNED A NUMBER. The issues coordinators will notify the list when that has
occurred. Target document and draft: WS-C, WS-AT, WS-BA OASIS working
drafts 1.1 Protocol: Coord, AT, BA Artifact: specs Draft: 1.1 working drafts of Coord, AT and BA Links to the documents

mapped to the OASIS template. Issue Details: 1. Titles are not consistently
formatted: o
Web Services Coordination (WS-Coordination) 1.1 o
Web Services Atomic Transaction 1.1 (WS-AtomicTransaction) o
Web Services Business Activity 1.1 (WS-Business Activity) 2. Dupes in BA Table of Contents,
section 8 appendices. 3. BA is missing the section from the
specification entitled: Composable Architecture. Those sections are
included in Coord (1.2) and AT (1.1) 4. Coord and AT have only a
‘references’ section. BA distinguishes between normative and
non-normative references, but it’s not clear what criteria that was
applied in making that distinction. 5. Coord and BA references sections are
in section 1 (1.8 and 1.4 respectively). AT references are in section 10. 6. Coord includes original spec authors
and acknowledged individuals in the acknowledgement section, following the
example of RX. AT and BA do not Proposed Resolution: 1. Use a
consistent title format. Suggest: Web Services xxx (WS-xxx) Working Draft 1.1, [date] 2. Remove
duplicate appendix listings. 3. Add the
composable architecture section to BA between 1.1 and 1.2. 4. Remove distinction
between normative and non-normative references in BA at this stage (we can add
that distinction to later drafts if desired). 5. Move AT
references up to be the final sub-section in 1 (1.5) 6. Add original
spec authors and acknowledged individuals to the acknowledgement sections of AT
and BA. |
