The reason for that long a time for final REC status is because of
the required time to complete the process. The WG internal intent
w.r.t. getting to what we think is "done" status is approximately
March '04. We may be off by a couple of months or so, but I don't
expect it'll be longer than that. However, it does take about an
additional year to go thru last call, candidate rec, proposed rec
and finally rec status.

I'm quite confident that part 1 is pretty stable and close to done
already. The SOAP binding is nearly there too. The HTTP binding
needs quite a bit of work to bring it in line with the removal of
<message>, but I expect that'll happen by the next draft.

I am the editor of part 1 of WSDL 2.0. However, this message is my
personal opinion and not by any means a formal position of the WSDL
WG. Phew.

Sanjiva.
