Subject: Fw: [wsbpel] Recap, Proposed Agenda for 11/16
- From: Diane Jordan <drj@us.ibm.com>
- To: wsbpel@lists.oasis-open.org
- Date: Wed, 9 Nov 2005 17:41:45 -0500
A clarification may be appropriate for
84 - we have already approved a resolution to that issue (It
is moved that the BPEL spec be required to provide an explicit list in
a single location of all static analysis checks mandated by the spec. It
is recommended that the editors produce a list similar to the one provided
in Appendix A for standard faults. )
It did not include spec language and was put on hold until we were
closer to a final version so it wouldn't have to be done more than once.
The spec editing team feels the appropriate time is approaching and
Vinky is working on a draft of the list. Once that is ready, we should
discuss and propose a resolution to 9. So, it won't be on the agenda
next week, nor will 9 most likely as the list is likely to take longer
than that to create.
Also, the f2f will be held at IBM in
Research Triangle Park, which is near the Raleigh/Durham(RDU) airport,
not in any local city. Here is a map with a list of local hotels:

Report on spec editing
- 230 passed, the proposal was accepted.
- 28 was closed with no changes to the spec
- 159 was closed with no changes to the spec
(this issue was more about how to restructure the spec...)
- 158 and 144 were discussed. Rania
and Alex will collaborate on this, given 82.2
Discussion on 123 and relationship to 120.2.
(See Chris' 11/8 proposal regarding 123)
Brief discussion of 9, given the pending
addition of 84 to the spec
Brief discussion of 232
Reminder of F2F to be hosted by IBM in Raleigh
(Cary?), NC 1/10-1/12.
Proposed agenda for next meeting:
- Nomination/volunteers to take minutes for this call
- Roll call/determine quorum
- Review/accept minutes from previous meeting(s)
- Review agenda
- Subgroup reports as available
- Report on primer progress (plan overview)
- Specification Editing status
- Issue discussion. Note we will follow the agreed to process of
limiting discussions of any issue on calls to no more than 30 minutes at
the end of which the person who made the motion can choose to table to
next meeting or force a vote (without requiring 2/3 majority to stop discussion).
Those who want to continue to discuss need to go off line to work
the issue. At next meeting progress should be reported – or issue
will go to vote with original proposal. If issue goes to a vote process
starts again as above. If results of offline discussions result in
amended proposal to vote, the new proposal should be provided to the TC
in advance of voting meeting.
Proposals to vote
- 232 (including an overview of rules for opening new issues)
- 123 (120.2)
- 84 (9)
- 158 (144) (assuming discussion on list)
Review of outstanding issues (see http://www.choreology.com/external/WS_BPEL_issues_list.html#category_table)
- we will review as many as possible in the time remaining. Please
review any open issues and consider making proposals.
Regards,
John Evdemon and Diane Jordan
