Subject: F2F progress and plans for Thurs Mar 23 checkpoint

Editing has continued at the F2F.  As of end of day Wed, the group has completed review up to section 8.2.3.   The latest updates to the spec have been posted are available here:
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsbpel/document.php?document_id=17337

We've also opened a number of action items.  Editing team members who are not participating in the F2F have addressed many of these when the TC is not meeting.  Several new issues have been opened to address changes that are normative, some of which have been opened and resolved by the F2F quorum (although the issues list does not yet reflect this).   We will continue this editing through Fri. afternoon when we adjourn.  It appears unlikely that we will complete the full review of the specification by this time.  We will have a plan discussion at 5pm CET on Thurs Mar. 23.  If you are interested in this, please call in at that time.  Dial in numbers are the same as those used for our weekly calls.

During the plan checkpoint, we will discuss the following:
- progress to date on the final editing work
- plans to address remaining editing action items and  new issues
- when/how to complete review of the spec
- where we stand relative to our plan to start Public review May 1

Since we are unlikely to complete the full spec review this week, we've started discussing ideas for how to complete the walk through.  Here are some ideas under consideration:
- set a date (possibly April 6) for all TC members to individually review the current spec in detail and have any changes they would propose ready for the next review session so we do not have to read each line, only those where there is an issue.  Note, for any suggested normative change,  still needs to be opened as an issue using our normal process - thi ssh.
- review sections of the spec on TC conference calls, possibly using a web based meeting room which would allow for sharing editing screens
- increase the frequency and duration of the TC conference calls until the review is done
- schedule a follow on F2F in early April to complete the review (note our next planned f2f is Aug 1-3)
