Subject: WSDM Con Calls - seeing and hearing?
Hi all, I have asked around here at webMethods and found out that we have some sort of unlimited use license for webex sessions - for calls of 50 people or less - which fits this group fine, I've never seen more than 50 people turn up for a meeting yet ;-) So I went ahead a booked a two hour session for this Thursday 8-10 PT and thought we might try it and see what happens. If its a disaster, then we just forget about it, if it works then I get to figure out how to schedule a recurring meeting in webex. If this is a bad idea then just say so, I won't be offended. Seems it might bring us at least a few benefits: 1) easy and quick way to do the role call - everybody's name will be visible in a scrolled list in the webex session - except those that are mobile or have some funky firewall problem. Hopefully they would be the exception rather than the rule. 2) Easy way for us all to look at the same requirements doc and see the edits going in, in real time - might cut down on time and questions. 3) Any presentations (like the one last week) could be seen by everyone, not just heard. I would suspect that the major problem we might have is firewall issues, but I have had good success to date, so I am sort of hopeful. webex details: Topic: OASIS - WSDM Date: Thursday, June 12, 2003 Time: 8:00 am, Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -07:00, San Francisco) Meeting number: 659045064 Meeting password: w1sd0m (Note the very clever use of numbers 1 and 0 in the password :-) Just click on the link... <https://webmethods.webex.com/webmethods/j.php?ED=78525771> If you have never used webex before, you should allow an extra minute or so, because it downloads an applet so it can do its funky stuff. Anyway, I thought it was worth a try. Best Regards, Geoff
