Subject: RE: [wsdm] [Omod] call Today, Nov 24th, 3-4pm EST

Title: [Omod] extra call on Thu, Nov 13, 4-5 EST

1. Roll.   : John, Fred, BryanM, William

2. MOWS model.

After the Identification limbo at the last Omod call, let's discuss Configuration category so that there is more meat before the F2F.

Configuration:

endpointDescriptionDocumentLocations [0..*] : xsd:anyURI {rw} - is a list of URLs of various description documents of the endpoint being managed. This list could include URLs to WSDL documents and other documents that describe the endpoint. Read the MIME type and parse the referred document to unsderand its type. [Note: will deal later with UDDI and the way they represent descriptions and identify those]

Standing issue for F2F (after a lengthy non-converging discussion):

"Is the above property mandtory [1..*] or optional list [0..*]."

Igor&Fred&John&Bryan think [0..*] and William thinks [1..*]. William thinks that groupping of the properties will specify if one needs to be supported and other opinion is whatever the groupping and access control, etc. the main question is "must the manageable endpoint provide its description doc location via manageability capability or is it optional".

endpointImplementationConfiguration [0..1] : xsd:anyType {rw} - an arbitraty XML "BLOB" that represents current configuration of an endpoint implementation (e.g. a Web App). This property is opaque and is not recommended to be interpreted in a standard manner currently. This property could be used to take snapshots of configuration for backup/restore purposes, for example.

endpointAlternativeAddresses [0..*] : xsd:anyURI {rw} - this is a list of alternative addresses (URIs) at which an endpoint being managed could be accessed. These addresses are provided in addition to the default address which is provided in the WSDL description component of the endpoint.

Goes to Identitfication:

endpointDefaultAddress[1] : xsd:anyURI {ro} - an address (URI) of the endpoint being managed. This address is included in the endpoint description component in the WSDL document(s).

ACTION: Igor to add the above to the MOWS spec draft.
