Subject: metric attributes subordinate to reset-timestamp
Regarding the F2F conversation on metrics and instantiation times, etc. I believe the metric would need to be subordinate to its reset-timestamp. The reset action would target a named reset-timestamp and affect all metrics derived/associated with the given reset-timestamp. So axiomatic metics and derived metrics would all be derived from a reset-timestamp, as a reset-able metric. BTW, In SNMP the reset-timestamp is usually called "discontinuity time", but there is no concept of reset in SNMP. Regards, Mark
