Subject: Re: [wsdm] RE: MUWS 0.5change document- clarity updates
Hi William, Yes, I'm on the east coast, in New Hampshire...I don't have an opinion on PDF .vs. Word, and don't have adobe authoring tools either, but don't let this stop you from going with a PDF :-) I can say that either is better than nroff! Anyway, here is the balance of my MUWS edits. I hope I haven't skipped anything needing attention, and hope I haven't changed the semantics or intentions of the document language. I assume we want a PDF instead of a Word doc for the final? I got the message loud and clear on line numbering, I won't touch them for 0.5. If you can send me your corrections by 4:00 Pacific time I should be able to have the final version out that evening. I'll leave the line numbers unless a majority of otherpeople weigh inbetween now and Monday to indicate that they'd rather havethem removed.Regards, William -----Original Message----- From: Mark Ellison [mailto:ellison@ieee.org] Sent: Friday, April 02, 2004 7:40 AM To: Vambenepe, William N Cc: wsdm@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: Re: [wsdm] RE: MUWS 0.5change document- clarity updates William, ...your welcome! I'm happy to work through the remainder of sections, but may be unable to do another read through before Monday. Hope that's not too late. I'm ambivalent about removing the numbering, especially for the 0.5 release. The numbering makes it easier to correlate problems reported on the document. I also included updated WSDL and XSD sent by Igor. I am looking forward to the rest of your corrections Mark. If possible, please tomorrow work off of the document I just checked in for everything below 4.2.1: http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsdm/download.php/6202/cd-wsdm-muws-0.5.doc Also, I am thinking of removing line numbering in the final version. It is great for reviews but not useful for final spec since some people will get it in HTML, PDF, Word, printed in a book, etc. So people shouldn't rely on line numbers, and usually don't when they use specs, they use section numbers. If someone really wants line numbers in let me know, otherwise I'll remove them in tomorrow's (final) version.
