Subject: WSDM TC Call 12/09 Agenda



Hi Folks,

First, voting member remember to vote!  We need a 2/3 vote.

For our agenda this week:
1. Roll
2. Schedule review (as a reminder here's the schedule and the alternative):
1.        committee draft Dec  10th
2.        notify oasis Dec 10th that we have a committee draft
3.        Notify TC about OASIS IPR Dec 10th
4.        Post for member review – ending Jan 30  (OR Jan 11 if we want to enter the Jan 15th OASIS Standards Pipe)
        a.        clean links on public home page to documents directly
        b.        clean links to schemas/wsdls on public home page (send to Webmaster to be posted at URLs for the namespace)
        c.        email to Jamie to post announcement
        d.        send Carol a paragraph for OASIS news
        e.        send reminder to review to members on Jan 3rd
5.        Update spec, respond to all comments, and revote committee draft. Ballot starts Feb 4 and ends Feb 11 end ballot
6.        Vote to submit for member vote (simple majority) Feb 11
7.        Feb 15 send to OASIS for member vote
        a.        Need at least 3 companies to say using WSDM
                i.        IBM has ETTK
                ii.        HP has Apache contribution
                iii.        CA has a WSDM product  
                iv.        Web Methods may be able to commit on use of spec
                v.        Tibco may be able to attest
                vi.        Hitachi may be able to attest
8.         March 1 member vote familiarization starts
9.         March 16 member vote starts
        a.        remind everyone to vote
10.         March 30 member vote finishes, OASIS Standard
        a.        need 57 to poitive vote (15% of 365)
        b.        need <57 negative vote )

An alternative schedule if we want to aim for a Feb 28 OASIS Standard (rather than March 30)
1.        committee draft Dec  10th
2.        notify oasis Dec 10th that we have a committee draft
3.        Notify TC about OASIS IPR Dec 7th
4.        Post for member review – ending Jan 11  if we want to enter the Jan 15th OASIS Standards Pipe
        a.        clean links on public home page to documents directly
        b.        clean links to schemas/wsdls on public home page (send to Webmaster to be posted at URLs for the namespace)
        c.        email to Jamie to post announcement
        d.        send Carol a paragraph for OASIS news
        e.        send reminder to review to members on Jan 3rd
5.        Update spec, respond to all comments, and revote committee draft. Ballot starts Jan 11 and ends Jan 17 end ballot  << need a few days grace for submission to Jamie to do this.  This sort of schedule also means that we have to keep up with comments, changes, logs of changes ongoing so that at
the end of the comment period we are ready to go immediately to the next step>>
6.        Vote to submit for member vote (simple majority) Jan 14
7.        Jan 15 send to OASIS for member vote
8.         Feb 1 member vote familiarization starts
9.         Feb 16 member vote starts
10.         Feb 30 member vote finishes, OASIS Standard

3. Community Draft Voting progress
        - Schema issues?
4. Member Review Vote (In order to be able to send the drafts to OASIS to begin member review
and possibly be able the make the Jan 15th OASIS Standards pipe we need to have a majority vote to
send the Community Draft for member review)
5. OASIS IPR review
6. F2F Planning (as a reminder here's what we decided at the last F2F)

We agreed to have the next F2F in January, 2005, the 3rd week Wed and  Thursday full days - Jan 19/20 Central US
Our focus for this F2F would be:
–Interop prep including use cases
–Primer
–Comment reaction, Errata
–WSDM V2 planning

We are looking for a central-US location venue option:
-Austin, TX (IBM or Dell)
-Boulder, Colorado (IBM?)
-Winterpark, Colorado (HP?)
-Denver, Colorado (sponsor?)
