Hopefully, congratulations are soon in order!
 
Could you please forward this message to your TC members for me?
 
I also need you to send me input for the press release, things you want to say in your quotes as TC chairs, hot buttons you want me
to hit on the significance of WSDM, a special analyst you'd like me to approach for a quote...
 
Remember, your employers may submit sponsor quotes, but it's less confusing to editors if the company quotes are attributed to
someone other than yourselves.
 
Also, please be sure the TC's FAQ page is up-to-date when the release goes out. We want to point editors to current information.

Note: obviously we can adjust the press release date if the TC requires additional time to address comments. I'd just like to be
ready to go whenever you are.

In the event Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) is approved as an OASIS Standard, the Consortium would like to be prepared
to issue a press release. We have targeted Tuesday, 8 Feb, for distribution.
 
While OASIS deeply appreciates the contributions of all members to our technical work, only Sponsor members elect to receive
promotional benefits, such as inclusion in announcements directed to the press.

The WSDM OASIS Standard press release, therefore, will feature the following statement:
 
"WSDM was developed by members of the OASIS WSDM Technical Committee, which includes representatives of Actional, BEA Systems, BMC
Software, Computer Associates, Dell, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Hitachi, IBM, Novell, Oracle, Tibco, and others."

If your organization's name is listed above and you would prefer *not* to be mentioned in the press release, please let me know.
 
*Any* Sponsor member of OASIS may submit a quote in support of WSDM's approval as an OASIS Standard--you do not have to be a member
of the OASIS WSDM TC. If you represent a Sponsor member of OASIS, and you would like to send a quote, please email that to me,
including a name and title at your company to whom the quote can be attributed.
