Subject: Groups - WSN conf call modified
WSN conf call has been modified by Mr William Vambenepe Date: Monday, 25 April 2005 Time: 09:00am - 10:30am PT Event Description: Toll Free Access Number: 866-639-4730 Toll Access Number: 574-948-0377 Participant PIN: 4474535 Agenda: * Roll call * Assign scribe (Rick?) * Approval of minutes from April 11 [1] * Status of open action items AI 42 - Peter/Tom Maguire: Ensure resolution of WSN4.3 removes wording about dialects being XPath-like AI 44 - DaveC/Glen: Propose wording of sentence to resolve WSN 4.9. The sentence should say that it is possible to define a topic space with a namespace of '', and should discuss why you might want to do this. AI 56 - Igor: Fix typos in WS-Topics as described in [2] AI 66 - Sanjay to provide an update on whether he thinks issue 1.6 is "an impediment to achieving committee draft on WS-BaseN" AI 70 - Sanjay to open issue to provide new filtering mechanism to examine information outside the payload. From 4/11 minutes it looks like someone took an action item to email a description of the issue. Who? AI 71 - Sanjay to open issue to change Notify message to contain a sequence of 1 xsd:any (for consistency with SOAP body). Mark issue as approach agreed. AI 72 - Sanjay to update and close 2.26 to say that this should be done outside WS BaseN AI 73 - Sanjay to close 2.28 and open a new issue in the Policy section AI 74 - BaseN editors to correct problems in implementation of issue 2.34 as described in [3] AI 75 - Issue 2.36: Sanjay to investigate whether BaseN adequately implies the stated defaults. (Rick posted the baseline policy behaviour by email) AI 76 - BaseN editors to update spec to tighten semantics of send/deliver (issue 2.39) based on DavidH's suggestion. AI 77 - Sanjay to update 5.5 and 5.6 to reflect the decision to defer these to a future version of WS-Notification AI 78 - Peter to send proposal on 2.41 (Peter to write up a proposal for changes in order to not use WS-RP dialect, but define an equivalent construct within the WSN namespace.) AI 79 - Lily to propose new issue and solution outside BaseN to replace 2.26. AI 80 - Sanjay to move 2.43 to "approach agreed" with the approach of moving text (which states explicitly that the default policy is defined by the NotificationProducer, which may be from the three suggestions listed) from ResumeSubscription to PauseSubscription. AI 81 - Chairs to recruit editors for the primer AI 82 - Spec editors to incorporate content from the white paper as described in [4] * Potential new issues: - Open content on Publisher Registration [5] - New issues from WSDM interop (Tom?) - Should UseNotify be a policy utterance? See [6] and ensuing thread concluding at [7] - TopicPath and TopicExpression [8] * Upcoming F2F Logistics and suggestions for agenda * BaseN update from editors * WS-Topics issues: - 4.6: Events for notifying changes to topic set - 4.24: Namespace prefix change may result into unbound QNames * WS-Topics update from editors * WS-BrokeredNotif issues: - 3.2: Raw messages from Publisher to Broker is not supported - 3.3: Should section 4 (on Publishing) be moved out? - 3.8: SubscriptionManager Interface in BrokeredNotification - 3.9: Separate endpoints for Producer, Consumer, etc * WS-BrokeredNotif update from editors References: [1] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/download.php/12212/20050411-wsn-minutes.rtf [2] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/email/archives/200502/msg00035.html [3] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/email/archives/200503/msg00051.html [4] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/email/archives/200503/msg00031.html [5] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/email/archives/200504/msg00019.html [6] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/email/archives/200504/msg00013.html [7] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/email/archives/200504/msg00017.html [8] http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/wsn/email/archives/200504/msg00018.html Minutes: This event is one in a list of recurring events.
