Subject: RE: [wsrf] text for appnotes, issue 20
All of the following are valid locations for the ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification element within a notification message. B and D make use of the WSDM event wrapper. C and D make use of the WSN event wrapper. A is the simplest possible value change notification. It is conceivable that other event wrappers may be used. The AppNotes text just needs to be clear that the ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification element may be found in many places in the notification message. (A) <s:Body> <wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> ... </wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> </s:Body> (B) <s:Body> <muws1:ManagementEvent> ... <wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> ... </wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> </muws1:ManagementEvent> </s:Body> (C) <s:Body> <baseN:Notify> <baseN:NotificationMessage> ... <baseN:Message> <wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> ... </wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> </baseN:Message> </baseN:NotificationMessage> </baseN:Notify> </s:Body> (D) <s:Body> <baseN:Notify> <baseN:NotificationMessage> ... <baseN:Message> <muws1:ManagementEvent> ... <wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> ... </wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification> </muws1:ManagementEvent> </baseN:Message> </baseN:NotificationMessage> </baseN:Notify> </s:Body> Bryan -----Original Message----- From: Roger Menday [mailto:r.menday@fz-juelich.de] Sent: Monday, November 28, 2005 8:20 AM To: wsrf@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [wsrf] text for appnotes, issue 20 Hi, I am struggling to write some coherent text for section 3.6.1.2 of the AppNotes (resolution to issue 20). What I understand : The wsrf-rp:ResourcePropertyValueChangeNotification element MUST appear *somewhere* in the Nofication message. However, it really can appear anywhere. So, an example notification might be <RPValueChangeNotification .. /> or, <nofify> <RPValueChangeNotification .. /> </notify> or, <nofify> <cbeelemnt> ... <RPValueChangeNotification .. /> </cbelement> </notify> etc ... Which one is correct ? What does a CBE element actually look like ? Should this level of detail be in the AppNotes section ? The header to this section is currently : "Value-change notification message in WSDM event format (Management Event) common base events format". This doesn't sound nice. "Accomodating other formats for the Value-change notification message" ?? I would appreciate (and need) some help here :) ... Roger
