Subject: Issue on support of request/response for callback and poll
Doug has made the point that his interpretation is that the section 6 binding is correct, and since it has no examples for request/response operations with callback or poll, it precludes it. Doug's view does simplify the protocol, since for callback and poll the receiving RMP never has to determine if a response is expected for the original request. However, the callback and poll response always are returned the same way for either one-way or request/response operations, so the only complication for my interpretation of the spec occurs if the Receiving RMP has to participate in the return of the http response to the original message. It states in section 2.2 hat the Receiving RMP must be aware of whether a respond is required matching a Deliver, so the added complexity to support my interpretation is not great.
