Markup and Styles Sub-group Monthly Report

Report for month of: May 2002

Group Lead: Chris Braun / Gino Filicetti

Activities Finished:

• markup tags for HTML and XHTML Basic have been categorized into “Disallowed” and “Discouraged” categories.
• have formalized possible URL Rewriting scenarios and have been discussing pros and cons of each.
• Chris Braun from Silverstream has accepted the succession of leadership responsiblities from Gino Filicetti.
• we have decided on a weekly conference call every Wednesday at 12pm EDT, using the same phone number as previous conference calls.

Activities in Progress:

• currently accepting CSS styles from people, will be working on trimming and consolidating the list
• continued discussion around the proxy of secure and non-secure resources

New Activities:

• begin discussion on markup fragment placement
• want to shortly start discussing the details of URL rewriting and namespace encoding.
