I'm not sure the following have deferred status (or made it into the minutes) but they are on my "to raise" list:

 

- path encoding URLs using templates (i.e. :/../../ style) requires producer to avoid special chars (/, :, &, %, *)

- not possible to clone (and set up a portlet session) and re-direct from performBlockingInteraction

- setProperties returns a portletHandle (implies clone on write?)

- WS-Security: How to leverage it for user identification and roles?

- add performInteraction (non-blocking)

I did a scan back through the 2 sets of TC minutes to extract the following deferred items. I have attempted to organize these according to the discussions we have had relative to continuing work efforts. If subcommittee chairs could add any other items that were deferred during their discussions, it would be very helpful.

Should be addressed in v1.1:

1. Markup rules for XForms, cHTML, VoiceXML
2. Publish/Find/Bind
3. Semantics of no UserProfile vs no UserProfile data
4. Exploiting attachment mechanisms
5. Exploiting message level security

• Remove Registration portType in favor of other standardized portType

• Invalidation caching

• Support for Consumer specified controls and control sets

• Leasing of Handles
• Returning markup for other place on the page (e.g. page header)
• Consumer controlled grouping of Portlets into shared sessions
• Portlet hierarchies
• Add PropertyDescription.propertyUsage field
• Add UpdateResponse.isSecure field
• Add BlockingInteractionResponse.rewriteRedirectURL field
• Add  ServiceDescription.version field
• Add  RegistrationData.version field
• Add releaseCookie()
