A third option is to delay the vote to give time to WebCollage to
clarify their curent statement about not intending to update their
statement at this time. I.e. if they had a little more time would they
likely update their statement? and or get to them clarify the reasons
they have for not updating their statements.

We should talk about this on the
Thursday
Interfaces SC call, but I could easily see two different impacts:
- Some companies may vote no simply
because of the ambiguity this introduces on the legal front
- Some companies may simply need
a longer time to evaluate how they would vote as they will now want
lawyer
to look harder at the underlying IP WebCollage has referenced.

Question to the TC:
What are we expecting at this stage:
- Those companies that have issues to vote NO on the spec?
- Or, work with WebCollage to get a legal IPR clarification?
