Minutes 5/18/04

Roll Call – Quorum achieved 44/59
Minutes – Accepted - No objections

Errata Status and Review
Action Item – Tony to repost errata document, present one can’t be opened.

SAML and XrML Interops
SAML interop started yesterday. The endpoints were on the private e-mail
list for the interop. Most companies have sent certificates. Expect that
the remaining endpoints should be in today. There has been some figuring
out of minor stuff. Resultant changes should be in interop document version
6, revised. The interop started yesterday and is expected to end 5/24.

XrML interop ended on 17th
Motion to move the current draft to a committee draft. There have been no
changes to the draft as a result of the interop. Need a 2/3 yes votes for
approval.
The vote was – 23 yes 22 abstain 0 no. The motion did not pass.
Action Item – Kelvin will put out a vote on a Kavi ballot. The rules say
the votes should be out for at least 7 calendar days. The dates for the
vote will be in the ballot.
Motion to put out a Kavi ballot vote to move the current XrML draft to a
committee draft, proposed by Tony Nadalin, seconded by Mike McIntosh.
Passed with no objections.

Status of other profiles
SAML - Focus is on the interop document. May be a URI was added or changed
in the document.
Action Item – Ron will double check for any changes as a result of the
interop. He will make the editorial changes, e.g. URI.

XrML - No change as a result of the interop

Kerberos - Nothing to say, looking for the TC to review the present
profile. There have been no comments on the list.
Action Item – Tony will work with VJ to generate a scenario document. Then
they will explore the interop. Waiting for comments on the profile itself.

Issues
274 closed – WSS SAML profile is constrained to 1.1, SAML 2.0 is not being
addressed and is out of scope. A number of name qualifiers have been
deprecated. These can be used but beware that depreciated items can be
removed in the next version.

273	Pending - SAML profile does not use conditions. Add a comment that
condition processing will be the same as in the SAML core.
Action Item – Ron will add a note to this effect.

277 Open Spec should say what a TGT is used for.
Action Item – Phil will add text to propose a resolution to this question.

280 Open. Rob - as long as scenario doesn’t run over SSL, which it doesn’t
in this interop, so there is no issue.
Action Item – Rob will get Andrew to repost the issue to state this.

281 Open – Tony will create errata for each separate document.

282 Open - Someone needs to make a proposal. Will someone please volunteer?

283 Action Item – Hal and Phillip will research and report back on this
issue.

284 closed.

285 - Want confirmations that the TC will address this issue. WS-I just
issued a document on the this issue, which will be sent to the list.
Proposal will be sent out.

Hal moved and seconded by Fredrick that the TC will take on the work
described by issue 285. The motion included a friendly amendment that 268
will be reopened by 285, and that 129 is possibly related. Motion passed
unanimously with no objections

Action Item – Jerry Schwarz, Fredrick Hirsch and Mike McIntosh to issue a
proposal on these issues.

Other business
None

Frederic moved for Adjournment.
