Subject: Re: [xacml-comment] A comment on A 14.2 Arithmetic functions
ABS is absolute value. It's a pretty well known standard function. The type doesn't change. A double results in a double, an integer results in integer. The result is always the positive magnatude of the argument. -Polar On Mon, 16 Dec 2002, Satoshi Hada wrote: > >> The following functions SHALL take a single argument of the specified > data-type. > >> The round and floor functions SHALL > > How about integer-abs and double-abs? > What does "abs" stand for? > absolute? > Anyway, the semantics description should be more elaborated. > > >> take a single argument of data-type > >> "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#double" and return data-type > >> "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#double". > > The date type of the return value should be integer??? > > Satoshi Hada > IBM Tokyo Research Laboratory > mailto:satoshih@jp.ibm.com > > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > To subscribe or unsubscribe from this elist use the subscription > manager: <http://lists.oasis-open.org/ob/adm.pl> >
