Subject: [xacml] XACML F2F Logistics...

Title: XACML F2F Logistics...

Hi all,

The next face-to-face meeting is June 19-20 (9:00-5:30 Wednesday; 8:30-5:30 Thursday) in Los Angeles, CA (Barnabey's Hotel in the Manhattan Beach area).

http://www.barnabeyshotel.com/factsheet.cfm

In order to involve those who will not be able to physically attend the meeting, the following was decided on our TC call today:

 - the minutes-taker will post the current state of the raw minutes Wednesday at noon, Wednesday at end-of-day, and Thursday at noon (all California time)

 - the conference call line (our usual number) will be open on Thursday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and on Thursday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. (both California time)

 - everyone is encouraged to read the minutes in order to come up-to-speed on the discussion taking place at the meeting and participate in the calls to share opinions, etc..

Furthermore, it was voted today that the Thursday, 8:30-9:30 a.m. (Pacific) call will be an official TC call/meeting (i.e., roll will be taken and attendance will count toward membership), replacing our usual Thursday TC slot.

AGENDA

Tim is hoping to post v0.14 of the specification by the end of this week so that it can be the focus of discussion at the F2F.  The primary goal of the F2F is to come to substantial agreement on the details of the XACML schema, the input context, and the output context.  As part of this process, it is expected that a number of issues in the Issues List document will be resolved and ready for closure.  Quorum at Thursday's TC call will allow us to close such items; otherwise, they can be closed at the following TC call.

If there is time left over, other topics may be discussed, including the Security and Privacy Considerations section, the Conformance section, and the Background section.

MORE LOGISTICS

Bill:  can you please re-confirm with Barnabey's that there will be Internet access and dial-in / dial-out facilities (along with a good speaker phone) in the meeting room?  As stated above, it will be necessary to dial from the room to our XACML conference line.  It would also be good if people are able to call the meeting room directly at other times if they wish to share their thoughts immediately on a topic (note that the room phone number would have to be posted to the list as soon as possible after the start of the meeting).

Also, a projector, a white board or flip chart, and sufficient extension cords / power bars have proven to be very helpful in the past.

Thanks a lot!

Carlisle.
