Subject: [xacml] Conformance tests. Forwarded message from john howard.
Colleagues, I apologize. Somehow, the following message did not get forward to the list. It contains John Howard's full report on trying to run the existing set of Conformance Tests against the schema and specification in use at that time. I have asked John to wait for the updated Conformance Tests, rather than my taking the time to respond to these. I will use the results from his test to help in making corrections as I work on the updated tests. Anne ------- start of forwarded message ------- From: "john howard" <john.howard@inmezzo.com> To: <Anne.Anderson@sun.com> Subject: Conformance tests Date: Fri, 6 Sep 2002 12:24:56 +0100 Hi Anne, Attached is the full report for the conformance tests we are able to run at this time. Could you clarify a couple of points on two of the tests: IIB008 as an AttributeValue of read|write. I'm assuming this is match read or write. Is it mandatory to support multiple attribute values in this way and if it is what are the rules governing the syntax. IIB033 defines a DataType of xs:string for the uri in the Request and xs:anyURI in the policy, but in most cases DataTypes are not present in the Request. Is the general principle then, if the DataType is specified in the Request check that the types match otherwise assume ythat the type is that defined in the policy. If this is the case then ignore the report on IIB033. Thanks, John. <<Test report.doc>>
