Evaluating XACML as a Policy Language - Draft 3.0

Colleagues,

Attached is an updated draft of the proposal I presented in
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/200303/msg00008.html
for evaluating one or more XACML policies with the goal of determining a set
of Attributes that satisfies the policies.  This updated draft
simplifies the algorithm by recognizing that candidate Attribute
values are available at the time the initial policy is
evaluated.  The draft also includes more details on how to handle
specific constructs in XACML and points to existing Open Source
code for performing the conversion of the XACML parse tree to
Disjunctive Normal Form.

This proposal is an alternative to the "Policy statement
combination and reduction" proposal from Tim Moses attached to
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/200303/msg00012.html
