Quorum reached.

Agenda:

1. Minutes from 4 March meeting voted upon. Approved unanimously.

2. Hal: ITU-T Meeting Summary
Last Thursday & Friday Karl Best & Hal wen to ITU-T met with Study Group 17:
ASN-1 Communication Security, X.500 directory. Karl provided an overview of
Oasis, Hal presented SAML & XACML to all groups. Revisited each group
individually. Most relevant group to the adoption of our work is Communication &
Security group. They have not had enough time to review the SAML & XACML spec in
detail yet. Current thinking is that future direction will be based around
possible Profile derived from work generated by ITU-T and refined with Oasis
groups. Culmination of this work may happen in roughly a year or so. A more
formal agreement will be coming from the ITU-T in the next week or so.

3. <IssueInstant>
Brief discussion on this element, with the consensus of it being an artifact of
a previous attempt tot address time intervals that was not fully flushed out.
Anne moved that we remove it, Polar seconded. Voted upon. Approved unanimously.

4. Documentation Update (Tim Moses)
Working on Draft 7, to be released by the end of the week. "Variable Definition"
modifications are far reaching so there is a good chance there will be some
ramifications that are not caught in this release. REQUEST: the Champion of Work
Item are asked to review the ENTIRE document to ensure that his Work Item is
properly presented and referenced thought the specification. Further, each
Champion is begin asked to send a note to Tim or the list to verify that content
is indeed correct.

5. SAML Interaction Update (Anne Anderson)
Eve Mahler i of SAML has come up with an attribute mapping mechanism that
appears to address the problem. When this has gelled, XACML may wish to revisit
the implications. Hal proposed that create a Work Item. WI #64 has been created.
WI #65 was also created to address Source definitions.

6. Work Items (Anne Anderson)

WI #36: Frank will review the item.

WI #31: Will be addressed at next F2F

WI #29: Will be addressed at next F2F

WI #62: Suggested by TC that "substring" function be based upon Well Known
mechanism (Regular Expressions in the case). Seth will work on writing up
something to address this

WI #61 - closed for 2.0

WI #58 - Anne will continue to work on this

WI #46 - Seth proposed that a textual explanation in the specification may serve
the purpose better of addressing a missing attribute value than modifying the
schema - Polar proposed that this be handled via a succinct attribute in the
[recent] absence of <IssueInstant>. ACTION: Seth will follow up on this.

ACTION: Anne will create a proposal to address IP Address matching

Tim confirmed that the <Expression> tag be marked FINAL to prevent extension.
Agreed upon by TC.

Tim asked that WRT example Rule 1 (posted yesterday) if the child of
<AttributeValue> needs to be XML, not text and is uncertain whether it should be
xs:string, or xsi:string. He is looking for guidance for from an XMagician type
as to which is correct.

Meeting Adjourned.
