Administrivia

  General FYI notices:

OASIS IDtrust Member Section Steering Committee Nominations Now Open
    http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201006/msg00005.html

Hal: xacml may not be member, just fyi

Exclusive Discount for OASIS Members at Structure 2010
   Cloud conference: June 23-24:
    http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201006/msg00002.html

	Hal: above is self-explanatory

Spam has been regularly appearing on dev and users email lists:
(most messages since Mar 2010 are spam - has been reported but
no action yet - probably needs more vigorous escalation - note:
it also affects other TC dev groups)
    http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml-dev/
    http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml-users/

Rich: just for awareness; sites seem to be bogus and
	 just looking to collect papers.

  XACML v3.0 - status
30-day Public Review ended Sunday, June 6,2010:
     http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201005/msg00030.html

Hal: only bugs reported (below and):
	  http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201006/msg00011.html

Hal: should we go w specs as is or another round.
	Erik: either way
John: would like to clean up
	Hal: leaning toward clean up
Erik/Hal: both changes not substantial, but ...
Rich: RequestContextPath vs Path is new to 3.0, so thinks
	 desirable get the fix.

Hal: any objections to having Erik make the changes for
	 vote on next call?

no objections - will do that, i.e. the fixes will be made

bug reported in spec on Jun 9:
(in example, used old RequestContextPath instead of new Path)
     http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201006/msg00004.html
    Hal asks if easy fix:
     http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201006/msg00009.html

Erik: for new drafts: the big item, which is error prone is updating
the schema namespace; don't update to reflect the working draft
	number.

Hal: Ludwig's chg is in the spec, but leaves the schema intact,
so that does not require chg.

  IPR/Export:

Hal: prev asked vote on export control, but got pushback
because doc chg'd since last pub rev, should have vote
	 to say chgs not substantive.
Hal: formula we want to follow is in updated version of april 8
	 minutes:
	   http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201004/msg00012.html
procedure is about what was done w designated cross refs.

Issues/Topics

Possible post-3.0 issue on Target/Category semantics (sections 3.3.1.1
and 5.6 have specific issues, while overall use of the terms:
"issuer", "attributes", "category", "entity" may need some
general clarification): comments from Rich, Erik
  http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xacml/201006/msg00008.html

Paul: submitted question on this some time back

Erik: is there specific change proposal?

Hal: today we are trying to scope the problem, but let's
	ask: is the text broken?

Paul: although when wording clarified, problem was
transitioning to 3.0 target, things were expressive

Hal: in the interim, let's try to disambiguate; as an interim
	 might make sense to drafting.

Paul: would be desirable to define formal semantics of this
esp wrt rule languages that are coming out, then run into
	issues.

Rich: start by proposing alternatives, before doing details
	on alternatives

  Other topics:

  1.	David: looking at ontology decision point
Hal: is that visible to people?
David: nothing ready for public consumption, if anyone has
ideas how ontology can be useful?
Hal: if could post to list would be helpful

  2.	David: HHS will have demo; transcript will be on web in
	 couple days.

	Hal: Next meeting 2 weeks.
