Gabe, I couldn't agree with you more about the relationship between XDI and RDF. I posted last night a first draft analysis [1] of that relationship and the new v4 XDI metaschema proposal [2]. We identified on the XDI TC call this morning that some of the cardinalities may be wrong in [1], but the basic metamodel pattern holds. I'd be fascinated to get your feedback on this analysis, and also see what the v4 metaschema looks like in RelaxNG.
