My two cents: Keep the core as small as possible, and ship it as fast as we can now, then get feedback and use that feedback to shape our work on the supplementary specs while at the same time iterating on on the micro-kernel core.

Couldn't you also just use XDI as a local datastore, without exposing it an endpoint?In this case you only need the graph model, but no link contracts or discovery..
I think we had the discussion a few times before if we want a few larger specs, or smaller modular ones..

I think Link Contracts, Discovery, and Queries need to be in the Core spec.
