INTRODUCTION TO DAN BLUM

Dan will be joining the XDI TC on behalf of XDI.org. Dan’s been an analyst in identity, privacy, and security most recently at Gartner and before that at Burton Group. He has now joined Respect Network where he will be consulting and serving as security architect.

PRESENTATIONS/DISCUSSIONS

PRIORITIES FOR VRM + PERSONAL CLOUD DAY MONDAY MAY 6

This Internet Identity Workshop (IIW) pre-meeting day will include a personal cloud developer intensive attended by a number of the XDI TC members. We discussed several different aspects of the XDI specs and demos that we want to be ready to show there, including discovery, policy _expression_, link contracts, and dictionaries.

Joseph and Drummond gave an update on progress on the revised ABNF:

After reviewing the current discussion proposal at a high level with Dan, Joseph agreed to move it to the main ABNF page for presentation at IIW next week.

JSON SERIALIZATION OPTIONS

Based on the decisions on last week’s call, several wiki pages were renamed or revised.

We reviewed the new serialization options and discussed the merits of the formats. Joseph took the following action items prior to Internet Identity Workshop:

# JOSEPH will:

1. Add a wiki page for the third JSON format (Parse).

2. Align the examples so that they are the same across all of the serialization format wiki pages (this will make it easy to do side-by-side comparisons).
