Cloud card discussion

We discussed patterns for “cloud cards” for personal contact information, which involve a “public” part and a “private” part.

Markus and André have been using the following pattern:

  PUBLIC LINK CONTRACT:

([=]!:uuid:1111/$public)$do/$get/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234$public
([=]!:uuid:1111/$public)$do/$get/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:4567$public

  CARD ONE:

  [=]!:uuid:1111#home$card/$ref/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234

  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234$public<#first><#name>/&/...
  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234$public<#phone>/&/...
  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234$private<#country>/&/...

  CARD TWO:

  [=]!:uuid:1111#work$card/$ref/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:4567

  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:4567.....

Drummond is proposing the following changed pattern, which allows modeling attribute addresses on the cloud cards in a way that is independent of their public/private status.

  PUBLIC LINK CONTRACT:

([=]!:uuid:1111/$public)$do/$get/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234[$public]
([=]!:uuid:1111/$public)$do/$get/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:4567[$public]

  CARD ONE:

  [=]!:uuid:1111#home$card/$ref/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234

[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234[$public]!:uuid:1/$ref/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234<#first><#name>
[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234[$public]!:uuid:2/$ref/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234<#phone>
[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234[$private]!:uuid:1/$ref/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234<#country>

  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234<#first><#name>/&/...
  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234<#phone>/&/…
  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:1234<#country>/&/...

  CARD TWO:

  [=]!:uuid:1111#work$card/$ref/[=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:4567

  [=]!:uuid:1111[$card]!:uuid:4567.....

Dictionary patterns

Drummond has worked on a wiki page with patterns for XDI dictionaries:

https://wiki.oasis-open.org/xdi/XdiDictionaryPatterns

Drummond has also updated the following wiki pages accordingly:

We worked on an example involving “contact cards” and “resume cards”:

|#contact||$card|//|<#email>|

|#contact||$card|//|<#tel>|

|#contact||$card|//|<#first>|

|#contact||$card||<#first>|//|<#name>|

|#contact||$card|//|<#last>|

|#contact||$card||<#last>|//|<#name>|

|<#email>|/$is#/|<$string>|

|#resume||$card|/$is#/|#contact||$card|

|#resume||$card|//|<#age>|

|#resume||$card|//|<#recommendation>|

|#resume||$card||<#recommendation>|//|<#letter>|

|#resume||$card||<#recommendation>||<#letter>|<$n>/&/"0-n"

|<#age>|/$is#/|<$number>|
