Subject: [xliff] Thought
Hi all, I just had a thought. XLIFF uses <alt-trans> to provide two types of information: pre-translated material, and old version of the translation (change tracking). However there are no specified way of distinguishing between which <alt-trans> is what. We probably need to add some guidelines in the specification for this. For example: any <alt-trans> with a match-quality attribute is a proposed translation, if not and has a phase reference in its <target> element, it's a old translation being kept track of. Or something of that effect. At some point tools will have to implement this. How would you see this done? Cheers, -yves
