Subject: RE: [xliff] [Fwd: Re: Question on XSD naming convention]I agree. I would add an item to the spec though to the implementors let them know that the URL location may change so they can implement around a solution that can be easily updated without requiring a new build or product shipment (external file reading the URL or registry key or something that can be easily edited by customers.).-Gérard

Subject: RE: [xliff] [Fwd: Re: Question on XSD naming convention]Hi Tony,I think the redirect is an adequate short-term solution. It would be nice if the log-term solution allowed the same persistent URL.Bryan-----Original Message-----Answer from Karl below.

Should we request the redirection for the short term?
Seems to me that it's the only solution for us until they solve the problem for all TC's. Please respond with your comments / opinions, etc. so I can formally request the redirection of Karl in time for our submission of 1.1 to the standards review process. Feel free to suggest any alternative solutions, if you're aware of them.
Regards,
Tony

Currently the only thing that we have is the Kavi repository, which will create a new query-based URL for each minor revision. Longer term we want to build a doc mgmt system that will assign a persistent URL that can be used to identify a specification throughout its lifecycle. If you have a definite need for such a persistent URL in the short term then we could create a redirect that will point to the document but which will need to be updated manually every time there is a new version of the doc. -Karl Tony Jewtushenko wrote: > Hi Karl: > > Our XLIFF 1.1 spec is complimented with an XML schema document which is > posted to our documents area in KAVI.
