Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (XLIFF-68) conformance clarification

Bryan Schnabel created XLIFF-68:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: conformance clarification
                 Key: XLIFF-68
                 URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/XLIFF-68
Project: OASIS XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) TC
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: ITS Module
    Affects Versions: 2.1_csprd04
         Environment: http://markmail.org/message/jsdjodzfaym76kqz?q=csprd04+list:org%2Eoasis-open%2Elists%2Exliff-comment+order:date-backward&page=2
            Reporter: Bryan Schnabel
            Assignee: Yves Savourel
             Fix For: 2.1_cs01

In "5.9.4 Conformance to the ITS Module Specification" it says:

"Conformant Agents MUST be XLIFF Conformant in the sense of XLIFF Application
Conformance and also implement at least one [ITS] data
category defined in the section 'ITS data categories defined in the ITS Module'
of this ITS Module or provide full support for at
least one of the [ITS] custom annotations (ITS Mapping Annotations) specified in
the Section 'ITS data categories that have a
partial overlap with XLIFF features'."

In .the Section 'ITS data categories. "section" should be lowercase.

Why is the second part 'restricted' to annotations? It would be simpler and more
correct to say:

"Conformant Agents MUST be XLIFF Conformant in the sense of XLIFF Application
Conformance and also implement at least one [ITS] data
category defined in the section 'ITS data categories defined in the ITS Module'
or in the section 'ITS data categories that have a
partial overlap with XLIFF features'."

The current text makes it sound like it would be OK to support only the
annotation part of a data category.
