Subject: RE: [xri] Glossary harmonization
Good list.
It also maps pretty well to the "Related works" list. I would add to
this: * URNs *
Naming/Addressing for Grid Computing (specifically, SGNP) * CNRP * DDDS =Drummond -----Original
Message----- Marc, My list (with the caveat
that there are many other efforts that we could consider) would be: 1. SAML 2. Topic Maps 3. W3C Architecture 4. Web Services 5. Semantic Web 6. Directory
efforts (such as LDAP, UDDI, DSML, etc.) 7. PKI (for
terminology related to trust, etc.) Mike -----Original
Message----- Hi all, During last week's face to face meetings I agreed to complete a
piece of work to compare and contrast the XRI TC glossary with those of other
related technologies, standards and protocols. I would like your feedback in the form a simple prioritized list
as to which you consider to be the most important for me to consider. My goal
is to provide an extension of our normative glossary in the form of an
informative glossary which details how the XRI TC use of words and phrases
compares to the same words, phrases and concepts in other bodies of work. This
should ultimately make it easier for anyone reading our output to quickly gain
and appreciation for our approach to the problem space. I hope to have this work in initial draft form for distribution to
this list on Monday of next week (in time to get feedback on our next
conference call) so I would really appreciate a rapid response. Thanks Marc 703 926 1596 |
