Review instructions for XRI Syntax 2.0 Working Draft 09

Both Word and PDF versions of XRI Syntax 2.0 Working Draft 09 were just

This draft contains the *normative* changes specified on:

Specifically, it addresses Issues #2 (ABNF Empty Path Segments), #4 (XRI
Normalization - NFKC), and #8 (XRI/IRI Authority Spoofing).

Note that it does NOT yet address some of the remaining non-normative
issues. Due to his travel schedule, Dave McAlpin has not been able to sync
up with me on these. He will be back Wed. night and he and I plan to go over
these on Thursday and upload another draft with all non-normative text
issues addressed by the end of the day Thursday. 

However we strongly urge all TC members to review the normative changes in
Working Draft 09 and be ready to discuss any feedback on the TC calls at the
end of the week.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REVIEWING WORKING DRAFT 09

Both the Word and the PDF version show revision marks from Committee Draft
01. You will see a number of small editorial fixes (specifically dozens of
places where the hyphen was removed from the terms "XRI-normal form",
"IRI-normal form", and "URI-normal form"). You'll also see yellow highlight
marking all the places where the XRI Resolution and Metadata specs are
mentioned (so Dave and I can decide how to handle these references on
Thursday). 

But your key focus should be on the following key sections for the normative
changes:

2.1.5 - Text added to address Issue #8 (XRI/IRI Authority Spoofing).

2.2 - ABNF productions added/revised for Issue #2 (ABNF Empty Path
Segments).

2.2.3 - Ditto.

2.3.1 - Text added to address Issue #4 (XRI Normalization - NFKC).

3.3 - Text added to address Issue #8 (XRI/IRI Authority Spoofing).

Appendix A: Revised to correct errata and reflect ABNF productions
added/revised for Issue #2 (ABNF Empty Path Segments).

If you have any feedback, please post it to the list ASAP. After review on
the Thurs/Friday TC calls this week, we plan to post the final draft early
next week upon which we will vote on Friday October 14th.
