Following are the minutes of the unofficial XRI TC telecon at:

AGENDA

1) NORMAL FORMS
We reviewed a new wiki page on XRI forms:

	http://wiki.oasis-open.org/xri/XriCd02/FormsAndTransformations

The page arose out of:

a) The need to harmonize these definitions between the XRI Syntax and XRI $
Dictionary specifications, and

b) The need by Boeing and others for a "strict comparison form" that is not
currently defined in XRI Syntax 2.0. As Marty points out, if the XRI TC does
not define such a form, then others will have to, and since a vast majority
of XRI users will need it, we should do it.

The feedback on the first version of this page was:

* Too many forms, and thus too many transformations needed. It would be much
better to stick with "one ladder".

* XRI-canonical form can be folded into XRI-normal form, since otherwise
XRI-normal form would not have much value.

* Safe form should become a simple variant of URI-normal form, i.e., just
drop the "xri://" prefix.

* "Display Form" should be called "Native Form" because it may not just be
for display.

# DRUMMOND to update the proposal with all these suggestions. (Note: this
has been done and is now shown on an updated version of the wiki page
above.)

There will be no call next week. The next call will be Thursday Jan. 4th at
the usual time.
