AGENDA

1) XRI 2.0 VOTE SUPPORT

The OASIS Standard vote on XRI Syntax 2.0 and XRI Resolution 2.0 started on
May 15. As of this writing, the tally is currently:

	Syntax	22 Yes, 3 No
	Resolution	23 Yes, 3 No

The no votes reference the W3C statement cited in the the following comment
from Sun:

"Sun currently does not support XRI; we are in agreement with W3C's
TAG opinion to be found at
	http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-tag/2008May/0078.html";

There was consensus on the telecon that the TC will take the following
steps:

a) Gabe will respond to the W3C TAG mailing list regarding the issue of the
XRI TC registering the "xri:" scheme with IANA. Our response to that
question is posted at:

http://wiki.oasis-open.org/xri/XriTwo/ResolutionCd03#head-f7cc9f5b1db9f5b5b8
d52191bd84ea29dd5ef60a

b) Drummond will create a new XRI TC wiki page and start drafting a proposed
response to the W3C TAG statement. The goal is to complete this to a point
we can reference it within 24-48 hours.

c) TC members and others who have voted in support of XRI may then attach a
comment to their vote referencing this XRI TC wiki page.

d) We will then begin outreach to other OASIS members who have not yet voted
including a reference to the wiki page and other materials that help explain
the full picture and why they should support the XRI 2.0 specifications.

2) PLANNING FOR OASIS ANNOUNCEMENT

On Tuesday, OASIS Director of Communications Carol Geyer sent an
announcement about the planned press release:

We will further discuss this on next week's telecon after we have completed
our voter education/evangelism efforts.
