Xiaodong,
Thanks for the info about CNNIC and DDDS.
I think the maturity of DDDS is a key reason Peter Davis has been advancing the
DNS resolution proposal.
RE the relationship between XRI/XRD and
IETF/W3C naming technology, I think the detailed discussions that started last
July between the XRI TC and the W3C TAG have gone a long ways in that
direction. XRI 3.0 will be defined as a standard for relative URI syntax so it
is fully compatible with W3C/IETF URI and IRI standards, and XRD 1.0 can be
used for metadata discovery for any form of URIs, not just XRIs. We’re also
trying to make sure XRD discovery is AWWW-compliant [1] and jibes with the
recommendations W3C TAG is preparing on uniform access to metadata.
Best,

Telecon 2-3PM PT Thursday 2009-01-08
Dear
Drummond, and other TC member,
According
to the current solution, using DDDS is perfect.
CNNIC
now is drafting a national standard for keyword service, which is using DDDS
for keyword resolution too.
Just
for your information.
BTW,
I always wonder if we should consider the relationship between XRI/XRD with
IETF/W3C naming tech.

3) XRD 1.0 - SEPARATION OF SIGNING MECHANISMS AND TRUST PROFILES
Brian and Nat -- discuss Brian's proposal and next steps in developing it.

4) EDITOR'S TELECON WITH TC ADMINISTRATOR MARY MCRAE
Drummond -- gather questions and decide on the time of a telecon next Monday
between Mary and all XRI and XDI TC editors who want to get her guidance and
advice RE drafting OASIS-compliant specs most efficiently.
5) SPECIAL TOPIC TELECON - CLOSURE ON XRI 3.0 SYNTAX PROPOSALS
Drummond -- schedule a telecon early next week to close on the XRI 3.0
syntax proposals. An early draft of the XDI RDF Graph Model spec has been

6) CALL SCHEDULE AND NEXT CALL
It has been suggested that the overhead of two regular calls per week might
be better placed into one 90-minute telecon running from 2PM-3:30PM Pacific
