The only thing that is using this at the moment is webfinger.

If Webfinger would prefer us to make the change without changing the namespace,  then we should have a vote to amend the rule or make an exception.

What is the main argument for NOT changing the namespace.   Normally this is done to help people who are doing early deployment.
