 Hi IDTrust SC members,
   as co-chair of the Oasis XSPA TC 
(http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=xspa), I 
wanted to appraise the Steering Committee about the ongoing alignment 
proceedings of the TC with the IDTrust member section.

During the Aug 6th XSPA TC meeting, there was a voice vote held with the 
voting members of the TC about XSPA alignment with the IDTrust member 
section. The vote passed with no objections. The TC administrator has 
set up a special majority ballot in XSPA TC to formalize the alignment. 
The ballot runs until August 13th.

Once the ballot passes, then the steering committee will need to hold a 
ballot to accept XSPA TC as part of the IDTrust member section.

I wanted to also bring to the steering committee's attention, that Duane 
DeDecouteau (XSPA Secretary) is ready to make a XSPA presentation at the 
Oasis IDM Conference at the World Bank HQ at the end of September. It is 
extremely critical to showcase XSPA pioneering work in health care 
privacy (in alliance with numerous International standards 
organizations) at the conference. Duane is an excellent speaker with 
both the technical as well as subject matter expertise.

I will be applying for formal travel assistance (for Duane's important 
presentation) from the IDTrust member section once the XSPA TC alignment 
with the member section is complete. I have updated June Leung, the SC 
chair about XSPA TC and travel assistance.
