Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (AMQPBINDMAP-7) Subprotocol ID name and version
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/AMQPBINDMAP-7?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=59632#comment-59632 ] Steve Huston commented on AMQPBINDMAP-7: ---------------------------------------- Rob G: Orig idea was the version in the id was the spec/binding version, not the amqp proto version. John F: may be good to have IANA have a id for 0-9-1 and separate from this one. XMPP elected to w/o version ion id. Proposes to drop the 1.0 on amqp's id; register another one for 0-9-1. Rob G: Who would do the 0-9-1 (no org)? Consensus - update our doc w/ amqp (no version) then go back to oasis. John Fallows to handle editing duties. > Subprotocol ID name and version > ------------------------------- > > Key: AMQPBINDMAP-7 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/AMQPBINDMAP-7 > Project: OASIS Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) Bindings and Mappings (AMQP-BINDMAP) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: Websockets Binding > Affects Versions: csd01 > Reporter: Steve Huston > > In 5/5/2015 TC meeting, John Fallows suggested that a proper subprotocol ID would be lower case and optionally include the subprotocol (AMQP) version number, e.g. amqp/1.0. There was also a discussion of where to negotiate the version - at the websockets exchange or at AMQP level. Both of these questions should be resolved and any spec changes made as needed. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
