At the July 11th AMQP Member Section Steering Committee meeting, on behalf of the TC, I request the AMQP Member Section Steering Committee to agree to start an approval process for approving
the Committee Specification produced by the AMQP Technical Committee. As specified in the Member Section Rules of Procedure, this approval (by the Member Section Steering Committee) requires a Member Section Steering Committee Special Majority e-Ballot conducted
by the OASIS Member Section admin. I propose the following text for the Member Section Steering Committee Special Majority approval ballot: “Do you approve of the AMQP Technical Committee’s decision to advance Committee Specification Draft 02 (http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/amqp/download.php/46122/csd02.zip)
along with minor corrections to the specification front page matter (as documented in
https://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/AMQP-75) as Committee Specification 01?” At the Member Section Steering Committee meeting today, the Steering Committee can agree to request the Member Section admin to start the Member Section Steering Committee Special Majority approval ballot with

Next week’s meeting (Wednesday the 11th of July) will therefore, be a combined member section and steering committee meeting – details will be provided nearer the day. The AMQP Technical Committee is about to start the approval process for AMQP 1.0 Committee Specification. The candidate Committee Specification produced by the Technical Committee is available at
