RE: Instructions for joining AMQP Member Section

Like Alex, I was able to join the TC fine but then hit the issue with lack of a final join link for the Member Section and instead followed the instructions on the MS page to send the request in by email. I never received a response despite resending the request after a number of weeks, and eventually emailed Dee last week for assistance and found myself joined to the list minutes later.

Hi Ram,

I followed your instructions but after completing step 2 there is no join link on the member section. There is a note however at the bottom as follows:

OASIS members who wish to affiliate their membership with this Member Section or wish to join the mailing list should send their request to
member-services@oasis-open.org

So i have emailed member-services and will wait for a response. What you describe btw is exactly what i did to join the TC again but could not repeat for the member section.

That said, note that the AMQP Member Section has two faces: http://www.amqp.org/ is focused on promoting the AMQP work and http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=amqp-ms is used for Member Section member collaboration (roster, attendance, ballots, emails, et cetera).http://www.amqp.org/ page links to the Member Section member page when you click on the “Join->Getting Involved” tab in that page.
