I am interested in serving as a co-chair of the OASIS AMQP Technical
Committee. As requested by Chet, I have included a brief biographical
statement below.

Thanks.

Ram works as a Senior Standards Professional at Microsoft. In that role for
more than 5 years, he has played a pivotal role in the standardization of a
number of Web services specifications. Ram has been involved with the AMQP
Working Group since 2010 and has been instrumental in guiding the AMQP
standardization work. Over the years, Ram participated in a number of
standards bodies, including OASIS, W3C, and WS-I, and served in many roles,
including as a Chair. Prior to joining Microsoft, Ram worked for Sun
Microsystems Inc. and was the Specification Lead for Java Transaction API
and Java EE Connector Architecture 1.5 specification that defines the
connectivity architecture for integrating Java EE based application servers
with messaging, ERP, and legacy systems.

Subject: [amqp] AMQP Indications of candidacy for TC Chair(s)

To all prospective members of the AMQP TC:

The first order of business at the inaugural TC meeting will be to elect a
chair (or two co-chairs). All individuals interested in serving as a Chair,
or in nominating another individual for the position of Chair, are welcome
to make that candidacy known, prior to the meeting, by posting a note to the
TC's e-mail list expressing their interest and/or intent along with a brief
statement of their qualifications. Alternatively, the committee will be open
to nominations from any qualified persons at its first meeting as well.

Please be aware that prospective members must join the TC no less than
7 days prior to the first meeting in order to participate in the meeting and
vote on for TC Chair(s). To join the TC, go to the TC's web page at
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/amqp and click the "Join This TC"
button.

Regards,

/chet
