Timeline for producing AMQP 1.0 OASIS Standard:

1.       September 2011

a.       AMQP 1.0 Final public release.

2.       October 2011

a.       Launch the OASIS Technical Committee.

                                                               i.      The first face-to-face (F2F) meeting of the Technical Committee will coincide with the planned AMQP 1.0 launch event hosted by JP Morgan in New York.

                                                             ii.       Contribute AMQP 1.0 Final to the OASIS TC during the F2F meeting.

3.       November 2011

a.       Approval of Committee Specification Draft.

4.       December 2012

a.       Approval of Committee Specification Public Review Draft.

5.       January 2012

a.       Complete 30-day public review.

6.       February 2012

a.       Approval of Committee Specification.

7.       March 2012

a.       Complete Interoperation testing (location: TBD) and approve Candidate OASIS Standard.

8.       May 2012

a.       Complete 60-day public review.

9.       June 2012

a.       Approve OASIS Standard through OASIS wide approval ballot (14-days).

 

Timeline for producing AMQP 1.0 ISO/IEC JTC 1 de jure international standard:

 

10.   July 2012 - Sept 2012

    1. OASIS approval process to submit the AMQP v1.0 OASIS Standard to ISO/IEC JTC 1.

                                                               i.      This is a 3-month process including a public review and interoperability demonstration.

  1. October 2012 – September 2013
    1. ISO/IEC JTC 1 PAS Transposition Process

                                                               i.      This takes about 7-11 months depending on whether a BRM (Ballot Resolution Meeting) is needed to resolve comments raised during the Draft International Standard ballot.

  1. Q4 CY2013
    1. ISO/IEC International Standard equivalent to the OASIS Standard AMQP v1.0 wire level protocol.
