Next meeting: Let’s tentatively plan on meeting next on Aug 28th. In the meanwhile, please complete your review of the proposal below for re-chartering the TC. At the next meeting, we will discuss any comments (on the
proposal to re-charter the TC) and decide on the next steps. Since AMQP 1.0 is on track to become an OASIS Standard by end of October, it may be best to wait until then before we initiate the re-chartering process. Also, since some of the TC members are on summer vacation
until next week, it would be best to meet next early September to review the proposed charter revisions.
Here is a projected timeline for the re-chartering process: ·
Sept 11th TC meeting

TC will review feedback comments on the proposed revisions to the TC charter and finalize revisions ·
Sept 25th TC meeting
o
TC agrees (via simple majority vote) to re-charter the TC ·
Oct 15
o
Chairs will submit proposal to re-charter the TC to TC admin ·
Nov 1-7
o
7-day Special Majority ballot to approve re-chartering of the TC ·
Nov 15
o
TC admin announces call for participation in the re-chartered TC ·
Dec 18
o

The AMQP 1.0 specification currently going through a 60-day public review ending on 13 October 2012. The timeline (for the production of AMQP 1.0 OASIS Standard) is in the thread below. Since there is no pressing need for the TC to meet

I will post a revised proposal to re-charter this TC in the next few days and it would be good to discuss it further and decide on the next steps we need to take to move the proposal forward. I anticipate that we will likely need
to meet as early as next week or shortly after to finalize the details of the proposal and take the necessary next steps. I will send out an agenda for the TC meeting soon. Please find attached a DRAFT of the revised charter (with an expanded scope of work to include other core specs). I will send a change-marked version (relative to current charter) shortly. Thanks. As you may have already noticed, the AMQP TC unanimously approved the Candidate OASIS Standard last week. The Committee Specification is expected to be published in the document repository today. The Candidate OASIS Standard is expected
to be published tomorrow and the 60-day public review is expected to start soon after. You can tell a lot has been moving behind the scenes in the last 10 days to get the documents published; the TC admin and the editors have been quite busy! Here is the expected timeline: ·

Given the ongoing progress with the production of AMQP 1.0 OASIS Standard, there is no immediate need to meet to discuss the AMQP 1.0 production. However, you may be aware that the ongoing discussions about expanding the scope
of this TC’s charter to work on other AMQP core specifications. I will post a revised proposal to re-charter this TC in the next few days and it would be good to discuss it further and decide on the next steps we need to take to move the proposal forward.
