Subject: RE: [amqp] Call for nominations for chair(s)
I understand that Angus, who previously served excellently in the role of co-chair of the TC, does not wish to re-stand as a TC chair... as such I would be
interested in serving as co-chair of the OASIS AMQP Technical Committee. Included below is (very) brief biographical statement. Cheers, Rob Rob is a Vice President within Distributed Technology Services at JPMorgan Chase where he has worked for the past 12 years. Since 2006 Rob has been involved
in the AMQP effort, acting as an editor and co-author for the 0-9-1, 0-10 and 1-0 specifications within the AMQP Working Group as well as frequently chairing the weekly working group calls. Since AMQP came to OASIS in 2011 Rob acted as one of the three editors
of the AMQP Standard. From: amqp@lists.oasis-open.org [mailto:amqp@lists.oasis-open.org]
On Behalf Of Ram Jeyaraman (MS OPEN TECH) I am interested in serving as a co-chair of the OASIS AMQP Technical Committee. As requested by Chet, I have included a brief biographical statement below. Thanks. Ram works as a Senior Standards Professional at Microsoft Open Technologies, a wholly owned Microsoft subsidiary. In that role for more than 6 years, Ram participated
in a number of standards bodies, including OASIS, W3C, and WS-I, served in many roles, including as a Chair, and played a pivotal role in the standardization of a number of Web services specifications, including an international standard. Ram is currently
Microsoft's Primary Representative in OASIS, co-chairs the OASIS Open Data Protocol (OData) Technical Committee, and is a member of the OASIS AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol) Member Section Steering Committee, OASIS WS-I Member Section Steering Committee,
and OASIS WS-BRSP Technical Committee. Recently, Ram co-Chaired the earlier incarnation of the OASIS AMQP Technical Committee and was instrumental in the production of AMQP 1.0 OASIS Standard. Prior to joining Microsoft, Ram worked for Sun Microsystems Inc.
and was the Specification Lead for Java Transaction API and Java EE Connector Architecture 1.5 specification which defines the connectivity architecture for integrating Java EE based application servers with messaging, ERP, and legacy systems. From:

On Behalf Of Chet Ensign To all members of the AMQP TC: The first order of business at the first TC meeting under the new charter is to elect a chair (or two co-chairs). If you are interested in serving as a Chair or in nominating another individual for the position of Chair, you are welcome
to make that candidacy known prior to the first meeting by posting a note to the TC's e-mail list expressing your interest and/or intent along with a brief statement of your or their qualifications. The meeting will also accept nominations from any qualified
persons before beginning the vote. The TC's first meeting under the new charter is scheduled for 20 November 2012. To join the TC, go to the TC's web page at
