Subject: DataChannel Announces Solutions Series 2000

                  DataChannel Announces Solutions Series 2000:
                      Road Rules Intranets into E-Business

XML and EIP Industry Leader Launches 11-City Seminar Tour

Bellevue, WA December 28, 1999 DataChannel, Inc., the leader in XML-based
Enterprise Information Portal (EIP) Solutions, today announced the first of
its
Solutions Series 2000 seminars. The first seminar series, Road Rules
Intranets
into E-business, will be held in 11 cities across the United States
beginning on
February 17, 2000, in Seattle. The series will define a roadmap to meet the
challenges of e-business and help you understand how and why an XML-based
EIP is the launching point for building successful e-business initiatives.

We are excited about the launch of these multi-city seminars and the
strategic
value they will deliver to senior executives faced with developing an
e-business
strategy, said Lucie Fjeldstad, president and CEO, DataChannel. We believe
the
Solution Series will establish an invaluable dialogue between DataChannel
and
senior business decision makers and IT executives. This dialogue is critical
in
building the best real-world EIP solutions that bridge heterogeneous systems
and
use open-standards to avoid future legacy systems.

The first in a series of multi-city seminars, Road Rules Intranets into
E-Business, a DataChannel Solutions Series, will focus on defining a roadmap
for
the creation of open-standards based EIP solutions. Proprietary, one-size
fits
all portal packages do not provide a viable long-term platform that delivers
enterprise-wide information access and publishing for all points
distribution.
The Road Rules session will educate the attendees about how DataChannel
designs
and builds custom EIP solutions that provide universal, dynamic access to
all
enterprise information and presents it in a single unified view an
XML-based
EIP.
