XML Portal Server Functionality for Financial Services Customers

COLUMBIA, Md.--January 18, 2000--Sequoia Software Corporation, the leading

announced it would provide integrated desktop connectivity for its XML 
Portal Server (XPS) customers with real-time investment information from 
Zacks Investment Research, and Web-based financial calculators from 
FinanCenter. The partnerships support Sequoia's focus on delivering 
industry-specific interactive EIP solutions--in this case--for the 
financial services industry.

By partnering with Zacks and FinanCenter, Sequoia is providing its 
financial services customers with desktop access to complementary Web-based 
content that extends the value of their proprietary corporate information. 
Sequoia is also establishing strategic alliances with technology vendorsthe 
most recent being Dallas-based S2 Systems, a leading provider of e-commerce 
and transaction processing solutions--that are established players in the 
financial services market.

Sequoia XPS is an application used to deploy interactive EIPs that provide

up-to-the-minute feeds of equity earnings estimates, analyst 
recommendations and company research through the Internet directly to an 
XPS user's desktop. These feeds allow users to see at a glance, how their 
individual or client portfolios are faring, so that they can make fast and 
effective investment decisions.

Highly specialized, they include versions for home and auto loans, stocks, 
credit lines, budgeting and retirement. FinanCenter's CalcBuilder also 
provides Sequoia's customers with the ability to deploy customized 
"branded" calculators.
